Thistle and Butterflies at Mabry Carlton Reserve in Venice, FL
On May 9, 2021, while traversing one of the many hiking trails at Mabry Carlton Reserve in Venice, Florida, a magnificent sight of butterflies flying among flowering thistle bushes over four feet tall entranced the viewer. These flowers with wings were enjoying the nectar of the thistle.
