A Black Cat Is Good Luck

This gentleman arrived at our doorstep years ago. He probably saw our other cats and figured that one more cat would not matter. We did, after all, have three spayed girls so a male was quite welcome to stay. He seemed to prefer living outside but he did come inside to sleep during the cold winters, and of course to eat. Here he is lounging on the back patio:

Blackie was quite handsome, being solid black except for a tiny bow tie beneath his chin, and a triangular patch of white under his tummy. Blackie was very all male. Note how he is sprawled out on the couch, just like a guy:

Blackie always joined the rest of the family in the room whenever we were there:

And, he always joined us during the holidays, spending time inside from the cold, snowy winters of New England. Here he is, playing with a toy reindeer:

Thank you for gracing us with your presence, Blackie, I look forward to seeing you over the rainbow bridge one day.
